A publication of the Industrial Workers of the World union in Arizona and Sonora
Una publicación del sindicato de les Trabajadores Industriales del Mundo en Arizona y Sonora

Hello fellow beloved employees, essential workers, and expendable ingrates!

Welcome to the new publication from our union, the One Big Union, the Industrial Workers of the World here in Arizona and Sonora. This is a brand new project so the site will be under construction for a while. BUT soon you will be treated with:

News and views of workers just like yourself who are getting organized and fighting for what we all deserve!

Entertaining stuff that might give you a chuckle or make you think of your job or your boss in a whole new light!

Links and articles to some serious shit that is going down that we should all be aware of or lend a hand with! … and more!

The format for this site is going to be short articles and quick stuff. This will make it easier for people to contribute material and therefore we will get more reports from more industries. But if we are successful at building the site, some of you will want to pour your heart out so we will be featuring some heavy shit on occasion.

    Goals for 2021:

As of January of 2021, we have a General Membership Branch in Phoenix with around 60 members and another General Membership Branch in Tucson with around 30 members. We also have individual IWW members in Flagstaff, Prescott, Yuma, Nogales, Holbrook, Bisbee, and Las Cruces and friends of the IWW in Sierra Vista, Cananea, Hermosillo, Kanab, Obregon, and Mexicali. Therefore some potential goals that this publication would like to work on are:

1.) Charter a Branch in Northern Arizona based in Flagstaff; Sign up 100 members in Phoenix and 75 members in Tucson

2.) Build functioning IWW Committees in Prescott, Bisbee, Nogales, Yuma, etc.

3.) Encourage our friends in Sonora to join the IWW as members and start building the OBU in Hermosillo, Nogales, etc.

4.) Initiate workplace organizing campaigns; help develop our members; increase incoming organizing leads from certain industries, etc.

SON HUELGAZ is going to be full of reports from workers just like YOU, talking about their workplaces and their efforts to improve conditions for themselves and their coworkers. Look for an email address or phone number ASAP! We hope to hear from you, fellow worker! Organize!

Don’t fight alone! Join the IWW today!
